Who we are
Wslni is a ride-hailing service that connects customers with drivers. It is made of a customer app, a driver app and an admin panel. This policy explains what data we collect, why, who sees it, and how you can delete it.
Data we collect
- Account: name, email address, phone number and password (stored hashed, so no one can read it). If you sign in with Google, we receive your name and email from your Google account. If you sign in with Apple on iPhone, we receive an identifier for your account from Apple and your email (or an Apple relay address if you chose to hide yours), your name if you share it, and we keep an encrypted token used to revoke the link with Apple when you delete your account.
- Profile photo: optional. We strip hidden location and device data from it before saving.
- Driver details: vehicle type, plate number, licence number, and photos of the driving licence (front and back), ID card and car. These photos are kept in private storage that only the admin team can reach, to review the driver’s application, and their location and device data is stripped. We also ask drivers for their area (governorate) and address, which only the admin team can see.
- Rides: the pickup and destination addresses as you type them, ride times, price offers, fare, rating and comment, and the discount code if you used one. We do not collect your GPS location.
- Wallet and payments: deposit amounts, the sender’s name, reference number and a photo of the transfer receipt; for withdrawals, the payout method, account holder name and receiving phone number; and your wallet transaction history.
- Complaints and support: the complaint type, its text, and the ride it concerns if you choose one.
- Technical data: your device’s notification token, whether the app is open right now, a driver’s availability status, and IP addresses to protect the service from abuse.
- Driver pre-registration (website): if you sign up at wslniapp.com/drivers before the app launches, we keep your name, phone number, area and address, car type and photo, and your notes, and use them only to contact you about joining as a driver. The car photo is kept in private storage with its location and device data stripped. You can ask us to delete this data at any time at the email below.
- Crash reports: if the app stops or hits an error, a report is sent with your device model, OS version, app version, where in the code it happened, and your account number only (not your name, phone or email), so we can find and fix the problem.
How we use your data
- To run rides: sending your request to drivers, their offers to you, and following the trip.
- To run the wallet: reviewing deposits and paying out withdrawals.
- For safety: verifying drivers before approving them, and preventing fraud and abuse.
- To reach you: email verification codes, notifications about your rides and wallet, and answers to complaints.
- We do not sell your data and do not use it for advertising.
What other users see
- Drivers see: the customer’s name, phone number, photo, and pickup and destination addresses, so they can reach them.
- Customers see: the driver’s name, phone number, photo, vehicle type, plate number and rating.
- During a ride, each side can call the other or message them on WhatsApp. These buttons open the phone or WhatsApp app on your device; we send nothing to WhatsApp ourselves.
- No user can see another person’s driver documents or wallet details.
Services that process your data
We rely on trusted services to run the app, and they receive only what they need:
- Google Firebase: live syncing of rides and notifications, delivering push notifications to your device, and receiving crash reports (Firebase Crashlytics).
- Google: Google sign-in.
- Apple: Sign in with Apple on iPhone.
- Brevo: sending verification codes and account deletion confirmation links to your email, so it receives your email address and the message.
- Telegram: the admin team receives internal alerts about deposit and withdrawal requests and new complaints, including the user’s name, phone number, amount, payout details and complaint text. The development team receives alerts about server errors, which may include a user’s account number.
- Bank of Palestine, PalPay and Jawwal Pay: when paying out your balance, we send them the amount, account holder name and receiving phone number.
- Our website: the home page loads fonts from Google Fonts and some libraries from jsDelivr and Cloudflare, which receive your device’s IP address when you visit, as with any website. We use no tracking or advertising on the website.
Deleting your account and data retention
You can delete your account at any time from the app: Account → Delete account permanently. If you no longer have the app, ask for deletion at wslniapp.com/delete-account, and we email a confirmation link to your account’s address.
If your wallet holds a balance, we pay it out to you first; the account is frozen until the transfer is done, then deleted automatically.
- What we delete: your name, email, phone number, photo, password, Google or Apple link and notification token, and we ask Apple to revoke the link if you signed in with it; for drivers, their documents, vehicle details and address; and every copy of your data in Firebase. The account can no longer sign in.
- What we keep: records of rides, wallet transactions, and deposit and withdrawal requests (including transfer receipts and payout details), because they are financial records that also belong to the other party of a ride and to the platform’s accounts, and may be needed to settle disputes. These records appear as “Deleted account”.
How we protect your data
- Passwords are stored hashed.
- Driver documents and transfer receipts are kept in private storage that is not publicly reachable.
- Access to the admin panel is limited to the admin team.
- No protection on the internet is perfect, but we work to keep your data safe and fix any issue we find.
Your rights
- View and edit your details from the Account page in the app.
- Delete your account directly from the app, or from wslniapp.com/delete-account.
- Ask for a copy of your data, or ask about it, by writing to the email below.
- Turn notifications off from your device settings.
Children
The app is not intended for anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect their data.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when the service changes. The date of the last update is shown at the top, and we will tell you in the app about any important change.
